Svitzer Australia – Protected Industrial Action

We have been advised that Svitzer Australia will be carrying out industrial action.

This will result in the following:

• Significant protected industrial action across Australia’s major ports with widespread stoppages scheduled from 10 November through to 15 November.
• 48-hour bans on certain vessels and relief crewing in Sydney that will challenge service delivery.
• Further work stoppages and re-call bans at ports in Far North Queensland, NSW, South Australia and Western Australia, including Geraldton, Fremantle, Albany, Kwinana and Newcastle.
• As well as 4-hour work stoppages in Adelaide and Port Pirie on 17 November.

Please expect some delays and interruptions to vessel schedules during this period as Svitzer provides crucial towage services to ships arriving and departing Australian shores.
