Planned Industrial Action at Australian Airports

We have received notice from Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) of upcoming planned industrial action involving some Qantas Ground Services (QGS) and Australian Air Express (AAE) employees at selected Australian airports.
The notified industrial action is currently scheduled to occur during the following periods.

Brisbane: 0400 Thursday 24 September – 0359 Friday 25 September (AEST)

Sydney: 0730 Thursday 24 September – 0729 Friday 25 September (AEST)

Adelaide: 0500 Thursday 24 September – 0459 Friday 25 September (ACST)

Perth: 0730 Thursday 24 September – 0729 Friday 25 September (AWST)

At this stage, no industrial action is scheduled in Melbourne, although Qantas Freight has advised that it is continuing to monitor developments and will communicate any changes.

While freight terminals are expected to remain operational, this may cause delays in freight processing and handling and extended terminal turnaround times. If you have any concerns relating to your delivery, please contact your customer service representative.
