New Zealand – Cyclone Gabrielle Updates

We have been advised that due to the impact of Cyclone Gabrielle and flooding in New Zealand the following ports will be affected:

  • Auckland

Due to uncertainty concerning the direction of Cyclone Gabrielle, terminal will vacate all vessels alongside the berths and not berth any other vessels in the next 36-48 hours minimum until it is deemed safe to do so.

The Port of Auckland has suspended operations until Wednesday 7:00am. Some transport operators have suspended operations until further notice. Some warehouses have not been able to operate until further notice.

Auckland airport has closed all services (primarily International) for at least 24 hours.

  • Tauranga

Vessels to depart from the Tauranga anchorage to sea, where they may remain till it is deemed safe for them to return. Shipping movements remain suspended due to high swells.

  • Napier

The Port of Napier has been closed from Monday 13th February 15:00 hours until Wednesday 15th February 23:59 hours.
