MUA Industrial Action at Hutchison Ports and Patrick Terminals

Attention: Shipping Manager

We have received notices from Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) regarding Maritime Union of Australia’s (MUA) Industrial action at Hutchison Ports in Sydney and Patrick Terminal in Melbourne.

The details of the actions are given as below:

Hutchison Ports – Sydney:

• 24 hours of work stoppage starting from 6 am Saturday 12^th June 2021 and finishing at 6 am Sunday 13^th June 2021.
• 24 hours of work stoppage starting from 11:59 pm Monday 14^th June 2021 and finishing at 11:59 pm Tuesday 15^th June 2021.

 Patrick Terminal – Melbourne: 

• A ban on working overtime at East Swanson Dock (Melbourne), starting from 12:01 am Saturday 19^th June 2021 and finishing at 12:01 am Saturday 26^th June 2021.
• A ban on shift extensions at East Swanson Dock (Melbourne), starting from 12:01 am Saturday 19^th June 2021 and finishing at 12:01 am Saturday 26^th June 2021.

 Please expect major delays and disruptions to vessel schedules and container operations due the labour shortage during these periods.
