Increase to customs entry fees
The government recently announced an expansion to the types of biosecurity activities to be cost recovered under the Australian Government Cost Recovery Guidelines. This includes biosecurity assurance, analytics and risk mitigation activities. These are critical to managing the risks posed by goods and vessels coming into the country.
This will result in a slight increase in customs entry fees which will be passed on at cost.
Chinese New Year 2020
Chinese New Year is just around the corner, falling between January 25th and February 8th. Most companies in China shut down during this time so please bear this in mind for any bookings/orders you may have during this holiday period.
