Hutchison Ports – Port Botany impacted by COVID-19
Attention: Shipping Manager
We have been advised of a COVID-19 positive case detected at Hutchison Ports at Port Botany in Sydney over the weekend. Consequently, any close and casual contacts of the affected employee were required to get tested and isolate before returning to work.
Slot releases have been suspended and storage has been extended for all units at the terminal. Hutchison Ports is working to restore full capability as quickly as possible however, some landside operations will be limited during the week. We expect there will be delays and service disruptions to the supply chain in the upcoming days as the terminal operates with a restricted capacity to minimise transmission among port workers.
If you have concerns regarding any container deliveries, please do not hesitate to contact your customer service representative.
We will keep you updated with any further information.
