DP World (Melbourne) – IT System Issues Causing Ongoing Delays

We have received a notice from the Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) advising of ongoing delays at DP Worlds Melbourne terminal. This is following a scheduled IT system upgrade that took place on Friday 13 September, DP World’s Melbourne terminal has been experiencing significant and intermittent issues, which have impacted operations throughout the weekend and into today.
These complications have caused major disruptions to truck servicing, leading to extensive queuing and delays for transport companies. Additionally, the delays are beginning to impact operations at other terminals, as trucks are struggling to return to or leave from their respective yards, which is affecting receival and delivery operations.

According to DP World, it will likely take the remainder of today, and possibly into tomorrow, to fully recover and reorganise operations. The terminal is currently working through each of the requests they have received.
