Sydney operations update due to severe weather:
We have received notice from Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) of the impacts as a result of the severe weather event impacting Sydney at present.
Below is the latest update:
- Sydney Airport:
- OPERATIONAL – Sydney Airport is still operational.
- Vessel Movement Suspensions:
- SUSPENDED – Some vessel movements in and out of Port Botany have been suspended until further notice.
- Terminals:
- Patrick:
- Imports/Exports: OPERATIONAL – Patrick have confirmed they remain fully operational.
- DP World:
- Imports/Exports: OPERATIONAL – DP World have confirmed they remain fully operational.
- Hutchison Ports:
- Imports/Exports: SUSPENDED – Hutchison Ports have released the following notice:
- The Terminal is experiencing a Significant Weather Event that caused the cessation of Truck Services due to workplace health and safety concerns. Road operations will be suspended from 1200 to 1459 at this stage . Trucks in yard may be affected as a result.
- Imports/Exports: SUSPENDED – Hutchison Ports have released the following notice:

- Empty Container Park Closures: Several empty container parks across the port precinct have already ceased operations due to safety concerns.
