Empty Container Returns
We have received notice of the possibility of rejected containers if they are brought back to empty parks with Dangerous Goods stickers still visible.
Please note that DG sticker removal is part of the customer’s responsibility to remove and that additional charges including futile trips, additional lifts and sticker removal may be incurred by trucking companies if empty containers are rejected.
This applies to all empty parks receiving empty containers.
Rotterdam Port Congestion
We have had reports of heavy congestion and delays at Rotterdam port. We anticipate some schedule changes as shipping lines try to mitigate delays.
General Rate Increase from Asia to Australia and New Zealand:
We received notifications this month from a number of shipping lines in regards to a General Rate Increase from Asia to Australia and New Zealand, details as follows:
The GRI will come into effect from the 1st April 2025:
USD 300/20’
USD 600/40’
LCL will increase accordingly.
Destination Port Infrastructure Increases:
Destination Port Infrastructure surcharge has increased for Adelaide effective from the 1st of April 2025. Updated surcharges are given below:
Adelaide Destination Port Infrastructure surcharge = AUD 240 per container
Destination Empty Container Park Increases:
Destination Empty Container Park surcharge has increased for Adelaide effective from the 1st of April 2025. Updated surcharges are given below:
Adelaide Empty Container Park surcharge = AUD 150 per container
Destination Timeslot Booking Fee Increases:
Destination Timeslot Booking fee has increased for Adelaide effective from the 1st of April 2025. Updated surcharges are given below:
Adelaide Timeslot Booking Fee = AUD 80 per container
