Severe weather to impact Fremantle Ports

Attention: Shipping Manager

We have been advised by Fremantle Ports of forecasted adverse weather conditions expected to impact the Port of Fremantle on the 2nd and 3rd of October.

The port has advised that the following is being implemented to ensure risk management:

  • Vessels at inner anchorages which do not have a berthing schedule during the weather period will be required to proceed to sea.
  • Vessels at outer anchorages will be required to proceed to sea for the period of impact.
  • All vessels alongside inner and outer harbor terminals will be required to evacuate their respective berths in the order scheduled, in preparation for the adverse weather.

Subsequent vessel delays are expected and will have a direct and substantial impact on port operations and capacity. Disruptions are anticipated to usual service levels and cargo handling.

If concerned about your shipments, please do not hesitate to contact your customer service representative.

We will keep you updated with any further information.

Regards,
