Red Sea and Suez Canal Situation – Update

Further to yesterday’s broadcast, we have now had confirmation from several shipping lines of additional charges being introduced due to the situation in the Red Sea.  Vessels are being diverted through the Cape of Good Hope to ensure the safety of the crew, vessel and cargo.  This adds approximately 14 days onto transit times.

Whilst all costs have not been confirmed yet, we have seen one shipping line advertise their fee as USD1550 per container.  As advised yesterday, unfortunately, we will have no option but to pass these costs on if and when received.
