MELBOURNE terminals and empty parks closure due to severe weather

We have been advised that all terminals and empty parks at MELBOURNE port have been closed due to severe weather conditions. As a result, all operations at the port are temporarily ceased, all slot bookings have been cancelled and all empty parks are currently closed until further notice.

Due to the extensive damage caused by strong winds, once the terminals re-open, they will be operating with a very limited capacity and access to the terminals will be controlled and restricted on a priority basis. For this reason, no slots will be allocated at this stage due to damage to the containers.

The terminals will only resume operations when it is safe to do so, which is still uncertain at this stage.
