Industrial Action at Hutchison Port terminal NSW:

We have been notified of a planned industrial action by Maritime Union of Australia at Hutchison port terminals Sydney as follows:

  • 24 hours work stoppage starting at 6 am on Thursday, 13th of August 2020.

NSW and Queensland Border Issues:

We have received latest updates from our trucking companies regarding significant delays at the New South Wales and Queensland border. All shipments which have to be transported from one state to another are experiencing these delays and will possibly incur additional charges in the form of waiting time and Driver’s border passes.

Qantas Freight Terminal Melbourne Cleared:

As per the latest notice published on Qantas website, Victorian Department of Health and Human Services has cleared the Qantas freight terminal in Melbourne for the resumption of operations. The staff will gradually return to work in stages and start clearing the import cargo which is already at the terminal. Priority will be given to medical and other urgent shipments. Upcoming flights which are due to clear at Qantas terminals will now be cleared by other terminals at Melbourne Airport to ensure the continuity of air freight operations.

We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
